The top photo is the original sketch from Ralph Eggleston and the other photos are of me in the process and my completed picture.

So, what do you think? Has anyone else worked with Sketchbook Pro – what are your thoughts? If you have any fan art we’d love to see it, please email it to us – who knows, maybe we’ll post your work on our site. It was a long process in total and it took me about five-and-a-half hours of straight work to complete the picture. My photography skills increased after digital took hold and I believe that my sketching skills will increase now too.Īs I mentioned, this was my first foray into digital media and I started with a white background and learned the tools as I went. The ability to try new things without the worry of wasting (since I’m frugal) media (canvas, paper, paint) appeals to me in a big way.

It turns out that I feel more at home with this form of media, much like when I got into digital photography. This is the first time that I have downloaded a drawing/painting app for either the computer or the iPad – I always thought I wouldn’t be totally into it and I was wrong.

Wow, what a powerful tool Autodesk’s Sketchbook Pro is.
